American rapper Meek Mill is considering relocating to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to kick his smoking habit. In response to the news of fellow rapper Snoop Dogg quitting smoking, Meek Mill shared on his social media handle that he plans to follow suit.
The decision stems from Meek Mill’s health concerns, as he revealed being diagnosed with emphysema. His doctor advised him to quit smoking to avoid compromising his health. Meek Mill expressed his commitment to giving up smoking due to the potential risks associated with nicotine addiction and the chemicals in modern weed.
On his X handle, Mill wrote, “Ima go to Dubai and completely stop smoking… Ima follow Snoop, my doctor said I got a lil bit emphysema in a chest if I don’t stop smoking it cuts my lifeline in half.
“I was addicted to the nicotine and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental!”
This revelation coincides with Snoop Dogg’s recent announcement of quitting smoking after thoughtful discussions with his family.
The veteran rapper said he decided to give up the addiction “after much consideration and conversation” with his family.
He also announced this in a terse statement shared via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday.
